Dr. Pamela Schramm is the owner of Brookfield Vision Care since 2011. She grew up in Bohemia, NY, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She was on the national Deans list, an active member of Omicron Delta Kappa-a national leadership honor society, and an active member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 1998 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Upon graduating from optometry school, she was the recipient of the Bernell pediatric and vision therapy award. In 2002 she was recognized as a southern diplomat in contact lenses and primary care. Dr. Schramm is also a recipient of the Connecticut Knights of the blind award for her dedicated humanitarian service to the Connecticut Lions eye research foundation. She is licensed and board-certified for diagnosing and treating ocular disease, trained in specialty contact lens fitting, diagnostic and therapeutic dry eye treatments, and pediatric and binocular vision care.
Dr. Schramm is an active member of the Brookfield Lions club and the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, the Connecticut Association of Optometrists and the American optometric association.
When Dr. Schramm is not at the practice, she enjoys time with her husband, three daughters and her Dogs. She loves to garden and take care of her chickens. Dr. Schramm was a collegiate field hockey player and continues to keep up her athleticism by playing golf, using her Peloton, hiking, and skating. She recovers by lounging at the beach or by the pool.
